Senior Designer

As a Senior Designer at Truefit, you will continue your journey to master full-stack product design and begin to mentor others in order to deepen the collective understanding of human-centered design principles across our practice and teams.  

You will serve as a member of one of our cross-functional product development teams, working closely with members of all disciplines to deliver awesome (useful, usable, desirable) software. As you deepen your research, UX, and facilitation skills, you will be key to leading and overcoming complex product development challenges. 

Using design thinking to collaboratively solve problems and deliver valuable products as a team should motivate you. Helping to advance the design capabilities throughout Truefit by sharing your knowledge and experiences should drive you. Stepping outside of your comfort zone in search of growth and improvement should be welcomed by you. 


Design elegant user interfaces

  • Develop beautiful visual interface design solutions that meet project requirements and support the overall design system and strategy
  • Prototype scenario-driven user interface solutions
  • Work closely with the product development team to implement visual interface design solutions at the code level
  • Exercise great design aesthetics with a sophisticated  eye for the distinctive qualities of the product brand
  • Leverage your proficiency in the tools that we use and guide the selection of new emerging tools as needed
  • Lead the definition of design systems, principles, and product strategy for the team to ensure implementation throughout the product
  • Collaborate with the team’s Software Architect on information architecture definition and data modeling
  • Implement content development based on defined strategy

Deepen your research, UX, and facilitation skills

  • Plan, execute, and analyzes primary and secondary research initiatives
  • Analyze data and synthesize product strategy and/or usability insights for the team 
  • Learn to adapt our research plans to suit the changing needs of the project
  • Establish measurable success criteria for releases with the client and product development team. 
  • Assist in defining customer segmentation strategy as a team
  • Identify key product value propositions for each persona
  • Be a primary facilitator for customer-facing workshops as needed
  • Collaborate closely with teammates to define rules, logic, and data models for data-driven features

Use design thinking and communication skills to solve complex problems

  • Effectively share knowledge with others inside and outside of the organization
  • Continue to communicate effectively, even when things are not going well
  • Have an awareness to “read” a conversation and know when to be more or less “technical” 
  • Be able to drive conversations to completion and make decisions when necessary
  • Visually communicate thoughts and ideas to those around you

Skills and Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing software applications
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating an ability to deliver useful, usable, and desirable software. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams preferred
  • Experience working directly with external customers preferred
